Mysore/Mysuru: Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO)-Mysuru Unit, as part of the ‘Shravana Arogya’ programme, will distribute Safety Kits to 1,008 truck drivers in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near Palace North Gate here on Aug. 13 at 9 am, said JITO’s former Vice-President Prakash Dutt.
Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, he announced that Mysuru Royal family member Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will inaugurate the programme. JITO is an organisation that has been working towards women empowerment, education, trading and several other areas for its overall development. “Several Jain Munis, leaders and Saints have lost their lives after being hit by vehicles on roads. Hence, to ensure safe driving during the early hours, Safety Kits are being distributed to the truck drivers. These kits include repair equipment/ tools, chocolates, packets of sweet items, T-shirts, etc.,” he explained.
JITO Office-bearers Kantilal S. Jain, Goutham Salecha, Rajan Baghmar, Sanghavi Rajesh Salecha, Vinod and others were present at the press meet.
