‘Sahitya Chavadi’ at Suruchi Rangamane

Mysuru: As part of its ‘Sahitya Chavadi’ programme, Kalasuruchi has organised a talk on Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel ‘Crime and Punishment’ by writer O.L. Nagabhushana Swamy (OLN) at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar tomorrow (Feb. 23) at 10.30 am.

O.L. Nagabhushana Swamy, popularly known as OLN, is a well-known expert on Vachanas, an orator par excellence, an accomplished  linguist and an acclaimed translator. He is one of those rare scholars with both an in-depth understanding of both Kannada and English literature and lucidity to convey literary aspects to lay audience. He has translated many great works of world literature to Kannada.

A connoisseur of theatre and a resource person for workshops on critical appreciation of cinema, he is also a poet, columnist and a celebrated critic. Karnataka Sahitya Academy, Rajyotsava and GSS Awards are only a few of the numerous recognitions he has received.
