‘Sambashiva Prahasana’ play at Rangayana: Vokkaligara Sangha demands apology for remarks on DKS

Mysuru: Mysuru and Chamarajanagar Districts Vokkaligara Sangha has demanded apology from ‘Sambashiva Prahasana’ play director and Rangayana Director over derogatory remarks on KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar (DKS) in the play staged at Rangayana, failing which the Sangha has warned of laying siege to Rangayana.

Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday Sangha President C. Mariswamy said that during the ‘Sambashiva Prahasana’ play staged at Rangayana last Saturday, derogatory remarks on DKS were made through a character in the play and added that no one should misuse the art.

Demanding apology from Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa, Mariswamy warned of laying siege to Rangayana and hold a protest if Cariappa fails to tender apology.

Sangha Director P. Prashanth Gowda said that a Police complaint has been lodged seeking legal action against those involved in staging of the play.

Sangha General Secretary M.E. Chethan, Co-Secretary Jayaram, Directors Prakashgowda, K.P. Naganna. Gururaj, B.E. Girishgowda and others were present at the press meet.
