Sandalwood trees stolen at Suttur Mutt premises

Mysuru: Miscreants, who felled a couple of sandalwood trees at Suttur Mutt premises, have made away with them.

According to Shivanna, a Mutt staff, in his complaint to Police, has stated that on July 10, miscreants, who gained entry into the Mutt at the foot of Chamundi Hill here, chopped down two sandalwood trees near the Kalyani and took away the logs. “We had decided to enquire the security personnel and lodge a Police complaint but again on July 13, miscreants gained entry into the Mutt premises by cutting open the barbed wire and have stolen about six trees grown near the garden,” he has further stated in the complaint.
