Sangappa S. Alur (88), father of Kodagu University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Sangappa Alur, passed away following brief illness at a private hospital in city this morning.
He leaves behind four sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites will be held tomorrow at 11 am in Bagalkot, according to sources.
