Mysuru: Maharani’s Science College had organised a programme at its premises here yesterday for the release of the Sanskrit Text Books ‘Kavya Bhoomika-1’ and ‘Kavya Pramodaha-1’ for B.Sc and BCA courses.
Releasing the books, Sanskrit scholar Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao observed that Sanskrit words had got into the basic words of all languages of the country. He acclaimed Sanskrit as very rare language in the world, for which a study chair has been established at many Universities across the world. He said that many scientific thoughts are hidden in Sanskrit books. He advised students to learn as many languages as possible. ‘Sudharma’ Editor K.V. Sampath Kumar asked students to learn to communicate in Sanskrit to familiarise with the language. College Principal Dr. S.B. Shantappanavar, HoD of Sanskrit Dr. D. Sheela Kumari, Senior Researcher Dr. T.M. Satyanarayan and others were present.
