Mysuru: ‘Sapna Kiosk’, a touch-based technology access to world database of over 20 million books, was opened at Sapna Book House on Narayana Shastri road here yesterday.
Inaugurating the Kiosk, former VC of Kuvempu University Dr. K. Chidananda Gowda hailed the Kiosk as a virtual reality and a convenient gadget for Bibliophiles.
He advised youngsters to read real books and not to depend too much on e-books.
Briefing on the Kiosk, Sapna Group Managing Director Nitin Shah said that people can check the availability of books in English, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil at the store through the Kiosk and if need be, can book a book online which could be delivered at the customer’s doorstep.
He added that this is the 10th such Kiosk of the Group. Former Director of UoM Prasaranga Dr. C. Naganna, Poetess Dr. Latha Rajashekar, Sapna Mysuru Branch Manager Doddegowda and Nithesh were present.
