Mysuru Beauticians Welfare Association delegation calls on CM
Mysore/Mysuru: “The Karnataka Government should give a compensation of Rs. 5,000 each to all beauticians in the State,” demanded K. Vedavathi N. Rai, President of Mysuru Beauticians Welfare Association (MBWA).
Addressing a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, Vedavathi said, “Due to lockdown all beauty parlours were shut. Now lockdown is lifted, yet no improvement in the business. Also no compensation was given from the State Government during previous lockdown.”
“We met Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on July 6 and submitted a memorandum to give compensation of Rs. 5,000 each to all beauticians. Yediyurappa has promised us to help beauticians who are going through tough times. We demand the Government to look into the problems faced by beauticians,” she added.
Secretary of Mysuru Beauticians Welfare Association M.A Sabina said, “Not only in the city, but beauty parlours and beauticians in other taluks too are going through tough times. In all, there are 300 members in our Association and we request State Government to release some compensation in order to help the beauticians across the State.”
Joint Secretary of MBWA Manjula Manavalan, Pratibha Reddy and others were present at the press meet.
