Save NTM School: High Court adjourns hearing on independent petition to July 14

Mysore/Mysuru: The Karnataka High Court (HC) today adjourned the hearing in respect of an independent petition filed by some persons seeking saving of NTM School on N.S. Road in Mysuru, the premises of which has been ordered by the High Court to be handed over to Sri Ramakrishna Ashram in Mysuru for the construction of  proposed Viveka Memorial, to July 14.

Some individuals , who were opposed to the shutting down of NTM School, had filed an independent petition seeking only saving of NTM School building  a few months ago even before the HC’s order last month directing the Government to hand over the school premises to the Ashram. The Court, which took up hearing  on the petition, adjourned the hearing to July 14 after the advocate representing the petitioners sought more time for submission of additional  documents.

Advocates Srinivasmurthy and Naganand are representing Ramakrishna Ashram while advocate Madhusudhan Nayak is arguing on behalf of petitioners.
