Hunsur: The watchman of a saw mill in Hunsur town was found brutally bludgeoned to death by miscreants yesterday morning.
Naga (58), a resident of N.S. Thittu in the town, is the victim.
Naga, who worked as a night watchman at the saw mill owned by former Hunsur Urban Development Authority Chairman M. Ravishankar at Boti Bazar in the town, had reported to duty as usual at about 8 pm on Sunday.
But Naga was found dead inside the saw mill premises with his head smashed by boulders and the incident came to light when the saw mill workers came for work Monday morning.
Naga is said to have been murdered when he resisted the miscreants who had come to the saw mill in search of expensive wooden logs late last night.
Addl. SP P.V. Sneha, SI Mahesh and other Police personnel visited the spot. Dog Squad and finger print experts were summoned to the spot of crime.
