Mysuru: “Environmental conservation is a fundamental duty of every citizen of this country. We need to stop or reduce plastic use,” opined Principal District and Sessions Court Judge S.K. Vontigodi.
He was speaking after inaugurating legal awareness programme organised by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in association with Bar Association to celebrate Constitution Day and National Youth Day at JSS Degree College, Saraswathipuram, in city recently.
He said, “Indian Constitution is one of the best in the world. It becomes imperative to create awareness of the Fundamental Rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution.”
Speaking on the occasion, retired High Court Judge Nagamohan Das said, “as part of the Reading the Constitution campaign, we have been visiting all schools and colleges and creating awareness about our Constitution in the district and taluk levels.”
DLSA Member-Secretary B.P. Devamane also spoke on the occasion.
Addl. SP P.V. Sneha, Principal Dr. K.V. Suresh, Mysore Bar Association President S. Anand Kumar, M.P. Nagendramurthy and Ayesha Bhanu were present.
