Mysore/Mysuru: SJCE Alumni Association had organised scholarship award ceremony on Nov. 17 at its campus. Alumni of various batches contributed towards awarding the scholarship for the needy students.
Two alumni of batch 1976 Mechanical Engineering, initiated two scholarship awards exclusively for Mechanical Engineering students and along with that, the alumni who are residing at USA sponsored five scholarships and one scholarship from its SJCE faculty member.
In total, the Association awarded eight scholarships. The support will be rendered till they complete their graduation.
Prof. Jawahar Nesan, former Vice-Chancellor and Prof. S.A. Dhanraj, Registrar, JSS Science and Technology University (JSS S&TU) advised the scholarship awardee students to continue their high spirits in academics. Dr. B.S. Harish, Co-ordinator, SJCE Alumni Association, co-ordinated the event and appraised about the Alumni involving in various activities towards the upliftment of the University.
