Mysuru: The Department of Public Instruction and Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions had organised a workshop for High School Head Masters and Head Mistress at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here recently to enable the school heads to take steps to improve the pass percentage in the coming SSLC examination in the district.
Inaugurating the programme, DDPI S. Mamatha expressed happiness in completion of almost all the syllabus in most of the schools. She recalled that Mysuru district stood at 21st place in SSLC results during 2016-17, rising to 11th place during 2017-18 and set a goal of at least 5th place in the examination this year. She asked teachers to focus more on students with less memory power and who have faired badly in tests. She said that similar workshops would also be held at taluk levels. Resources person Ganesh from Bengaluru conducted the workshop.
About 650 school heads of Government, aided and private high schools participated.
