Mysuru: Shanthala Vidya Peetha, Siddharthanagar, had organised a Science Exhibition and Orientation Programme for Parents in the School premises recently.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest H.V. Rajeev, Chairman of Pramathi Hillview Academy, Kuvempunagar, along with Vidya Peetha Chairman Shrikanth and Shanthala, Secretary Santhosh Kumar, Co-ordinator Vijayshree and Head Mistress K.A. Manorama.
High School students rendered invocation. On the occasion, alumni who had achieved outstanding marks were honoured and Radhakrishna, Chairman of Shastri Public School, Hunsur, conducted a workshop for parents on how to raise children.
Students had prepared various Science models that included Sewage Water Treatment, Biogas plant, Rain Water Harvesting, Natural Disasters (Volcano and Earthquake), Laser Alarm, Conservation of Soil, Water and Forest. Students also created awareness on other subjects by making historical monuments like Chamundi Hill, Chitradurga Fort, Rivers of India, Lotus Temple, Stone Chariot of Hampi and Rock City.
High School Teacher Yashaswini proposed a vote of thanks.
