Science is an integral part of Spirituality: ADC

Mysore/Mysuru: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy has said that Science has become an integral part of Spirituality and there is a need to build a society which is inclusive of Spirituality.

He was speaking at ‘Belakina Habba-2022’ organised by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya at its premises in city recently.

“Before the launch of a Satellite, scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will perform puja either at Tirupati or local temples and check for Rahukala and Gulikala. The scientists are continuing this habit despite opposition from some people. Seeing this, I am of the opinion that Science is a part of Spiritualism,” he opined.

Stating that Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya branches are spread across the country, the ADC said that special lectures are being held daily in these branches. “The task of bringing back present youths, who have found a life elsewhere forgetting spirituality, back to spirituality should be started by the spiritual centres of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya,” he suggested.

“Many reports being published in the newspaper indicates that Seers are forgetting their spiritual lives and are inviting danger. This trait could be a reason for the present youths to stay away from spirituality. If the situation continues like this, youths and general public will be in a state of confusion about deciding who should be their role model,” he said.

“At Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, they have a created a situation to compare spirituality and science. During Deepavali we light lamps and simultaneously switch on electric lights. This means that even in society, there is a need to strike a balance between spiritualism and social life. Before joining Government service, I too had an inclination towards spiritualism and seek spiritualism even now when I need mental peace,” said the ADC.

Chief Superintendent of Central Prisons Mysuru, K.C. Roopashri said that we all should respond to the problems faced by the society and lead our associates from darkness to the path of light. “In this direction, Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya office-bearers are continuing their efforts. Public should also join hands in their mission,” she added.

Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya Media Head Rajayogi B.K. Karunaji, Mysuru Sub-division Convenor Rajayogi Lakshmiji and Mayor Shivakumar were present.
