Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Science Sanje, Kalasuruchi and Kutuhali have jointly organised a talk on ‘Story of Semiconductor’ by Dr. C.P. Ravikumar of Texas Instruments Ltd., Bengaluru, at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar today (Sept. 9) from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
Dr. C.P. Ravikumar has been working at Texas Instruments for the last 22 years. Prior to this, he worked as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT, Delhi, for ten years.
He has done Ph.D from University of Southern California, ME from Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) and BE from Bangalore University. Dr. Ravikumar has published more than two hundred and fifty papers in the field of semiconductors and computers.
He has been a research advisor to six Ph.D students and more than 50 M.Tech students.
He has won best paper awards in four Global Technology Conferences. He holds four US patents.
Abhinava Prakashan published the first book on computers in Kannada, “Computer Gogu Kannadi” (1990). Indian National Academy awarded him Fellow. IEEE organisation has given him the honour of Senior Membership.
