Mysore/Mysuru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), the premier B School in Mysuru, has taken the forward-thinking step of bringing AI (Artificial Intelligence) into Business Management Classroom by integrating a comprehensive AI tool with the student Learning and Evaluation process.
On June 3, the Institute inaugurated the AI application for PGDM Batch 2023-25 classes by entering into an MoU with the city-based start-up Academi-AI, co-founded by B.N. Pramodh and partners.
Dr. Riyaz Ahmed, faculty at SDM-IMD, is coordinating this project at the Institute.
Academi-AI is customised AI software that creates classroom audio transcripts and queries and evaluates the student responses on specific parameters set by the faculty.
The software is interactive and enables the faculty and students to entrust repetitive work for AI to do and focus their efforts on qualitative work, innovation and improvisation.
Dr. Mahesh Rao, President of TiE, Mysore Chapter and Dr. Dharmaprasad, Founder & MD of Prosetta Bioinformatics, Mysore and Convener of CII-Industry Institute Panel were present on the occasion.
Dr. (Lt. Col.) S.N. Prasad, Director SDM-IMD, highlighted the long-term purpose of this initiative and the possibility of evolution of AI software as an aid for improving faculty quality, student learning and in measuring student outcomes.
Dr. Mahesh Rao shared his project experience at IBM, USA of reducing acceptance time for software.
Dr. Dharmaprasad congratulated the students and faculty for embracing technology in their path towards excellence.
