Mysuru/Mysore: The Second Karnataka State-level ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) Polytechnic Students’ Convention was organised by JSS Polytechnic for Women in Mysuru recently.
N. Ravichandran, Joint Director-Exams, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bengaluru, inaugurated the function and stressed on the need for such conventions by educational institutions. Stating that technology is the need of the hour, he said technology should reach common people at affordable rates.
Narendra Narayan, Founder and MD, Vinyas Innovative Technologies Private Limited, Mysuru, in his keynote address, said that it is important to adopt technology into our daily life which may facilitate the improvement in the quality of life.
Nijananda Reddy, Secretary, ISTE, Karnataka Section, briefed on the significance of ISTE Students Chapter in technical institutions.
N. Shekar, Prinicipal, presided. Harish, Assistant Director, DTE, ISTE Executive Council members Dr. S.B. Sangappa, S.B. Devaraju and SMC member Lingarju G. Vaidya were present during the inaugural function, according to a press release from the Principal.
