Security breach at New Parliament House: Delhi Police submit 1,000-page charge sheet to Court

Mysore/Mysuru: Special Cell of Delhi Police that is investigating into the case of security breach at New Parliament House in Delhi, has submitted a charge sheet against six accused in the case, to Patiala House Court.

The accused are D. Manoranjan of Mysuru, Lalit Jha, Amol Shinde, Mahesh Kumawat, Sagar Sharma and Neelam Azad.

Meanwhile, Hardeep Kaur, Judge of Additional Sessions Court of the Patiala House Court has extended the judicial custody of the accused till July 15.

It may be mentioned that, the accused had burst smoke bombs in and outside the New Parliament House on Dec. 13, 2023, the incident which had drawn worldwide attention.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police had booked the accused under The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and had investigated the case from several angles.

With the charge sheet running into 1,000 pages submitted to the Court, the verdict in the case is also expected to be announced soon, as it was a case of national security, it is said.
