Mysore/Mysuru: Vidya Vikas Educational Institutions Chairman and former Chamaraja MLA Vasu, along with his family members, distributed grocery kits to thousands of people near Mahadeshwara Temple in Paduvarahalli this morning. Each kit contained ragi flour, rice, green gram, black eyed beans, dal, salt, sugar, cooking oil and other grocery items.
Present on the occasion were Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Adichunchanagiri Seers Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji and Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji, Prof. M. Krishnegowda, MCC Additional Commisssioner N.M. Shashikumar and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Vasu said that he was doing whatever was possible to the people who were in distress due to Corona outbreak. “I am not doing this only in Chamaraja constituency but have also done this in other constituencies earlier with the help of party members in selecting beneficiaries. Today, it was possible to do in a bigger way at Paduvarahalli coming under Chamaraja constituency; nearly 3,000 people are being distributed with grocery kits today. This is not first and this will not even be the last. I wish to donate more in the coming days. I will do whatever is possible by me and will continue further with the co-operation of my friends.”
