Mysuru: Writer and humorist Prof. M. Krishnegowda has been selected for ‘Dr. Kota Shivarama Karanth Huttoora Award’ for the year 2024. The award is jointly being given annually by Udupi District Gram Panchayat and Dr. Shivarama Karanth Huttoora.
Prof. Krishnegowda, a noted Kannada oratory, has earned a fan following of his own and is also a widely read columnist. In recognition of his contributions to the society, he has been selected for the award, stated a press release issued by the Working President of Dr. Shivarama Karanth Pratishthana, Anand C. Kundar.
The award will be presented to Prof. Krishnegowda on Oct. 10 which happens to be the birthday of Dr. Shivarama Karanth.
This award is presented to various achievers every year for the last 19 years. Former Chief Minister Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, former Lokayukta Justice Venkatachala, journalist Ravi Belagere, Film Director Girish Kasaravalli, actress Jayashree are among the many other recipients.
