Selected for Putta Shri Award

Mysore/Mysuru: Roshan Kolarakar of Bidar has been selected for ‘Putta Shri’ award given by Sri Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru, for the year 2022.

Roshan will be conferred the award for his achievements in playing tabla. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.  He was selected at the award selection committee meeting chaired by Sabha Hon. President M.V. Ramprasad, Sangeetha Bheema Shankara of Mysuru, Dr. A.L. Desai of Yadgir, Shankara Halagatti of Dharwad, Shantala Vattam of Mysuru and Dr. Gurubasava Mahamane of Dharwad.

The award will be conferred on    Dec. 17 at ‘Bhairava Dinda Bhairavi’ Sangeethotsava (9 am to 9 pm) to be held as part of the 12th death anniversary of Padma Bhushan Pandit Puttaraj Gawai at Ganabharathi auditorium in Kuvempunagar here, according to a press release from Sabha President Bheema Shankara Bidanur.
