Mysore/Mysuru: Two young talents from city have been selected for ‘Putta Sri’ award given by Sri Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru, for the year 2020-21.
Rajatha Pranava (Tabla) and M.K. Navaneetha (Flute) will be conferred a cash price of Rs. 5,000 each along with a citation.
They were selected for the award at the award selection committee meeting chaired by Sabha Hon. President M.V. Ramprasad, President Bheema Shankara Bidanur, Vice-President Dr. A.L. Desai, Shankara Halagatti, Dr. Gurubasava Mahamane and Girisha.
The award will be conferred on Mar. 11 and 12 at a Sangeethotsava (music programme) to be held as part of the 108th Birth Anniversary celebration of Padma Bhushan Pandit Puttaraj Gawai at Rama Govinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar, according to a press release from Sabha President Bheema Shankara Bidanur.
