Mysuru: The District Administration has invited entries from schools for selection of ‘Parisara Mitra Schools’.
The selection will be based on parameters such as waste management, health and hygiene, less use of plastics, pollution control, greenery, etc. Schools which have been issued questionnaire should return the same along with answers to the city’s Janajagruthi Grameena Abhivruddhi Samsthe before Dec.30.
The topmost school at the district-level will be presented ‘Parisara Mitra School’ award along with a cash prize of Rs.30,000.
Schools ranking second to eleven (10 Schools) will be accorded ‘Green School’ tag with a cash prize of Rs.5,000 each. Schools ranking 12 to 21 (10 Schools) will be accorded ‘Yellow School’ tag with a cash prize of Rs.4,000 each.
The rest of the schools that have participated in the exercise will be accorded ‘Orange School’ tag with a citation.
