Selection trials at Khelo India Centre for Excellence on Apr.15, 16

Mysore/Mysuru: The selection trials for athletics, shooting and swimming will be conducted on Apr.15 and 16 at Jayaprakash Narayan National Youth Centre, Khelo India Centre for Excellence, Vidyanagar in Bengaluru, by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports.

Those interested to take part in the selection trials should be studying SSLC in the current academic year (2023-24) and eligible to be admitted for first PUC for the year 2024-25. The relaxation of two years is provided for international sports persons. Maximum age limit will be fixed on their capability on the basis of experts report.

The bio-data should be submitted along with recent passport size photo at the time of selection. Priority will be given for those born in Karnataka and also residents of the State. Both the photocopy and original of Aadhaar card should be compulsorily submitted.

Applicants should have won medals at least in State-level official sports meets conducted by State Athletics and Swimming Association, State School Sports Meet or University Sports Meet. They should have participated in previous and present year sports meets.

The eligible sports persons can directly participate in the selection trials, according to a press release from Bhaskar Nayak, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Mysuru.
