Self-employment: Loan facility for Backward Classes

The D. Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation has invited applications from candidates belonging to Backward Classes for availing benefits under self-employment scheme extended by the Corporation for the year 2022-23. Under Self-Employment Scheme Rs. 2 lakh will be provided as loan amount out of which 15 percent of the amount will be provided as financial assistance and the 4 percent interest must be paid for the remaining loan amount.

The applicants, belonging to Backward Class Categories – 1, 2A, 3A and 3B (barring Vishwakarma, Savita Samaja, Uppara, Madiwala, Nijasharana, Ambigara Chowdaiah, Nomadic, Semi-Nomadic community, Vokkaliga, Lingayath, Kadugolla, Hattigolla, Marata and other sub-sects) with annual family income not exceeding Rs. 98,000 for rural applications and not exceeding more than Rs. 1,20,000 for urban applicants may apply. Also, applicants must be in the age group of 18 to 55 years.
