Mysore/Mysuru: A seminar on the books and discourses of eminent Vedic Scholar late Dr. K.S. Narayanacharya has been organised by the city’s Sanatana Sabha at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar here at 9.30 am on Mar.5.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, Sanatana Sabha Secretary Vidwan Ga.Na. Bhatta said that Senior Journalist Vishweshwar Bhat will inaugurate the programme in the presence of Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.
Veteran Researcher Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Shastri will preside. S. L. Bhyrappa Sahitya Pratishtana Hon. Secretary Prof. G.L. Shekar and Industrialist Dr. M.Jagannath Shenoy will be the chief guests.
The event will also feature an analysis of the Scholar’s discourses (Swadhyaya Pravachana).
The seminar will have two sessions, with former MLC G. Madhusudhan presiding over the first one. Writer Dr. Kabbinale Vasanth Bharadwaj will speak on the topic ‘Acharyara Ramayana Krutigala Ondu Kiru Sameekshe’ while Dr. Jayanti Manohar will speak on ‘Acharyara Bhagawatha Krutigala Ondu Pradakshine.’
The second session will be presided over by former MLC Dr. S.R. Leela. Vidwan Ga. Na. Bhatta will speak on the topic ‘Acharyara Mahabharata Krutigala Ondu Sthoolavalokana’ and T. Devidas will speak on ‘Acharyara Rashtrabhakti Mattu Patrika Barahagala Olanota’.
The valedictory function will take place at 4.30 pm which will be presided over by thinker Polya Umesh Shetty. Star of Mysore Founder-Editor K.B. Ganapathy and senior advocate O. Sham Bhat will be the chief guests.
Sanatana Sabha President N.S. Dwarakanath, Vice-President Prof. S. Ramprasad and member M.N. Krishna were present at the press meet.
