Senior Geologist Prathima murder case: Accused in Police custody till Nov. 15

Bengaluru: The Second ACMM Court has handed over the accused in the Senior Geologist Prathima murder to Police custody till Nov. 15.

Kiran, the former driver of Prathima, an Officer at the Mines and Geology Department in Bengaluru, was arrested by the Police when he was trying to flee towards Chamarajanagar yesterday and was produced before the Court. The Police had appealed the Court to hand over the accused to them for 11 days for further questioning in the murder.

Jurisdictional Subramanyapura Police had taken three persons including accused Kiran into their custody and interrogated them during which Kiran had confessed of killing Prathima, said Bengaluru South Division DCP Rahul Kumar.

He further said that Prathima had sacked Kiran from the job a week back over a few issues and angered over his sacking from the job, accused Kiran had committed the crime, the DCP added.

It may be recalled that Prathima was found murdered at her house in Doddakallasandra on Sunday (Nov. 5) morning.
