Mysuru: Tourism and Kannada & Culture Minister C.T. Ravi felicitated senior theatre personality H.V. Venkatasubbaiah after inaugurating ‘Navaratri Rangotsava’ at Bhoomigeeta in Rangayana premises here on Sept.29.
The Minister said, “Kannada language is culturally very rich. During the ‘Navaratri Rangotsava,’ plays written by various writers will be staged for nine days.”
Department of Kannada and Culture Director K.M. Janaki, senior theatre personality H.S. Umesh, S. Ramadas and Rangayana Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy were present. Later, Rangayana artistes staged Kuvempu’s ‘Shudra Tapasvi.’
