Mysuru: Complaints on server problems in CESC (Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company) offices came to the fore at the public contact programme that was organised by CESC at its Sub-Divisional office located on Sri Harsha Road here yesterday.
Many power consumers complained that server down problem in CESC offices was causing a lot of inconvenience to power consumers for payment of bills and to get information regarding power issues.
AEE R. Rudresh said that the matter has been brought to the notice of higher authorities and the issue will be discussed once again for finding a solution to the problem.
Some consumers complained of non-issuance of SoA (Statement of Arrears), to which Rudresh said that the problem arose due to staff transfer and now the issue has been sorted out with the appointment of more staff.
A few consumers wanted the CESC to send SMS message to consumers directly about such public contact programme, as such a move will help in a larger participation of consumers. A total of five complaints were registered at the programme. CESC officers Moiddin, Dharanidevi, A.K. Kamaladevi, Mahadevaiah, Basavaraj and others were present.
