Mysuru: City’s Seshadripuram Degree College had organised the Eleventh SET Merit Scholarship ceremony and felicitation to College toppers at a function held at the College here recently.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. B. R. Ravikanthe Gowda, who was the chief guest, urged students to commit themselves to society, acknowledging that they are products of it and should strive to contribute positively besides highlighting that the youth, constituting 60 percent of the global population, hold immense potential for the country’s progress.
However, he cautioned against impatience, emphasizing that true success requires patience and perseverance and warned the students against taking shortcuts that will lead to corruption.
Nadoja Dr. Wooday P. Krishna, Hon. General Secretary of Seshadripuram Educational Trust, presided.
R. Sneha from BBA, M. Manoj from BCA and S.S. Sahana from B.Com., all from the 2022-2023 graduating class of Seshadripuram Degree College were honoured on the occasion.
Scholarships ranging from Rs. 10,000 were awarded to 32 students who joined BBA, B.Com. and BCA courses for the academic year 2024-25, having scored between 90 percent and 95 percent marks in PUC. Additionally, 13 students who scored more than 95 percent were granted free education for one year and 18 students were presented with Appreciation Certificates.
