Sets World Record for ‘Most miniature paintings on a small paper card’

Mysore/Mysuru: Ganesh Kelagina Beedu Shenoy, a native of Mangaluru, who is married to Arti Shenoy of Saraswathipuram in Mysuru, has set a World Record for his new artwork ‘Most miniature paintings on a small paper card’ through World Record Certification Limited, UK.

He painted 1,156 miniature paintings on a small paper card measuring 17 cm X 17 cm, and each miniature painting measures 0.5 cm X 0.5 cm, setting the World Record for most miniature paintings ever painted on a small paper card.

Last year, Ganesh had broken both Asia Record and India Record with his 1,029 miniature paintings on an A4 size paper and had entered Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records. In 2018, one of his paintings on Lord Jesus Christ was featured in “L’Osservatore Romano” — newspaper of Vatican City.

He is the son of veteran artist and Lalita Kala Academy award winner late Pundalik Shenoy. His mother late Padmini Shenoy was also a noted artist.

Right from his childhood, he was interested in painting and secured many prizes / recognitions. Entering the Guinness Book of World Records is his dream and he has started working on a new project to make this dream a reality by 2021.

Ganesh Shenoy uses many mediums and styles while painting. His favourite styles are Pointillism, Kinetic Pointillism, Mosaic and Expressionism. Ganesh has never sold his paintings for personal gain. He always donates his paintings to philanthropic organisations so that they can sell and utilise the proceedings for charity work.

Ganesh is working as HR Manager in Sodexo at Qatar. He is living with his wife Arti Shenoy in Doha – Qatar since the past 13 years. His daughter Anisha Shenoy is pursuing her MBBS in KVG Medical College, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada.
