Shab-e-Barath celebration and Graduation Day held at Masjid-e-Azam

Mysuru: Shab-e-Barath (The night of forgiveness) celebration and Graduation Day was held at Masjid-e-Azam on Ashoka Road in city recently.

Muslim brethren celebrated Shab-e-Barath for their welfare and for the departed souls of their near and dear ones by offering special prayers the whole night. Isha prayers were conducted at 10.30 pm at the Masjid and Hazarath Moulana Abdulla Nayeemi Saheb performed Imamath.

Hazarath Moulana Mufti Mohammed Shamshul Huda Chisty, Chief Qazi of Idhar Shariya and Darul Iftha, Masjid-e-Azam Ahle Sunnath-wo-Jamath spoke on Fazilath Shaban.

Later, the Graduation Day (Dastar Hafiz Quran) was held for three students who studied in Azam Arabic College. Management Committee Secretary S.M. Syed Shafeeq Ahmed anchored. Moulana Mufti Mohd. Shamshul Huda Chisty, Principal, Azam Arabic College, Vice-Principal Moulana Fasiulla Warsi Saheb, lecturers Moulana Abdulla Nayimi Saheb, Management Committee office-bearers Ahmed Khan Ameeri, Mohd. Abdulla Shariff, Dr. Rafi Ahmed Ashrafi, Shacoor Saheb, Saheb Bhai Syed Showkath Peer, Khizar Pasha and Ilyas Baig, President, Meena Bazar Merchant Association distributed certificates and turbans for Hufaz Kiram (student of Arabic College). Management Committee President Ahmed Khan Amarie and other members felicitated Azam Arabic College Principal, lecturers and staff.

Muslim brethren visited the graveyards at midnight and offered floral tribute to the                                            tombs.
