Shadakshari re-elected as State Employees Association President

Bengaluru: C.S. Shadakshari has been re-elected as the State President of the Karnataka State Government Employees Association, with the election held yesterday in Bengaluru.

Shadakshari secured 507 votes, defeating his opponent B.P. Krishnegowda, who secured 442 votes. Shadakshari was declared the winner by a margin of 65 votes.

However, the incumbent Treasurer, Nagaraj R. Jummannavar, aligned with Shadakshari’s camp, lost to V.V. Shivarudraiah, who was supported by B.P. Krishnegowda’s camp, by 18 votes. Shivarudraiah secured 485 votes, while Nagaraj Jummannavar managed to get 467 votes. A. Hanumanarasaiah served as the Returning Officer.
