Recently, Muda announced its plan of building a satellite town by acquiring some villages around Mysuru and also form new Layouts. But why is it not taking care of its existing Layouts?
Muda Layout Shanthaveri Gopala Gowda Nagar’s maintenance is very poor when compared to other Private Layouts in its surrounding areas. Muda seems to be least bothered of developing the Layout after allotting the sites to citizens.
When MUDA does not give approval for new Private Layouts until they have developed Parks, Roads, provided electricity and other basic facilities, doesn’t the same rule apply to Muda’s own Layouts?!
I would like to highlight some of the problems in Shanthaveri Gopala Gowda Nagar:
Roads need immediate repair and asphalting
Overgrown weeds and bushes on roadsides pose risk to residents
So-called Park is crying for attention
No doubt Muda has honoured Shanthaveri Gopala Gowda by naming the Layout after him but will it also show due respect to the Socialist leader by maintaining the Layout?
