Mysuru: The Extra-Curricular Activities Committee of Maharaja’s College had organised a function at its Centenary Hall here on Thursday to mark the launch of extra-curricular activities and Talent Search 2017-18.
Inaugurating the programme, Music Director Shashidar Kote opined that art was an expression of divinity of Goddess Saraswathi which can take an achiever across the world.
He opined that an artiste should be creative and relish his or her performance. He added that one should be proud of his or her mother tongue to come up in career.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. Kripa Phadke, Director, Nrithyagiri Performing Arts Centre, pointed out that participation in a competition was important and not the result. She advised the students to utilise the opportunities during their college days to bring out their talents.
College Principal Dr. B. Nagarajamurthy, Committee Convenor Dr. Shahaseena Begum and others were present.
