Sir,
The residents of K.C. Nagar and adjacent areas were visiting Gayathripuram Zonal Office of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) for payment of property tax and other issues concerning their property.
But a couple of years back this Office was shifted to K.R. Mohalla, near Akkana Balaga, off Thyagaraja Road, inconveniencing the residents of this area.
The approach road to this Office is very narrow. Residents living on both sides of this stretch park their 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers on the road itself further reducing the space for any other vehicle other than walking. Thus, entering this road itself is a problem.
Any change should improve the quality of work and help the tax-payers. Instead, this shifting of MCC Office from Gayathripuram to Akkana Balaga has inconvenienced the tax-payers more.
I request the MCC authorities to rethink on this issue and shift the functions of K.C. Nagar and other adjacent areas back to Gayathripuram. Alternatively, since the eastern part of the city is growing fast, open a MCC Zonal or Sub Zonal Office either at Alanahalli or nearby area.
Hope, MCC authorities will look into the problems of residents of this area caused due to this shifting.
