Shikshakara Prathiba Parishat opens wing in Hunsur

Hunsur: Karnataka Rajya Shikshakara Prathiba Parishat had organised a function at Shikshakara Bhavana in the town recently to mark the inauguration of the taluk wing of the Parishat.

‘Gurushri’ awards were also presented to 45 teachers on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion DDPI Manjula opined that the close bond between Guru and Shishya was a part of Indian culture dating back to ages. She hoped that the Parishat would unite teachers of Central, State, aided and un-aided schools with a common motto. Briefing the gathering, Parishat State President P. Mahesh said that teachers of Lower Primary School to PU College were members of the Parishat with branches in 58 taluks of 16 districts in the State.

Teachers Vijaya Kumar, N. Raghu and Shekar who have been selected to post of KAS officers were also felicitated on the occasion.

The new office-bearers of Taluk Parishat were inducted.

Taluk Parishat President T. Rangaswamy, BEO S. Revanna, entrepreneur Amarnath, TP President Padmamma, Vice-President Premkumar, City Municipal President M. Shivakumar and others were present.
