Shoddy work on a busy road

Sir,

About a month back a portion of the ever busy  Mysuru-Madikeri Highway, opposite Ganapathy Temple at Hinkal caved in, may be due to the bad road work executed earlier.

Instead of immediately doing a permanent road repair work,  the authorities concerned preferred to dump a tractor  load of mud on the road. This action resulted in a number of accidents as the dumped mud was uneven and not visible during night hours.

Later, instead of rectifying the fault and making this stretch of the road motorable,  the authorities placed a barricade in front of this mud hump.

I am unable to understand the logic of the authorities concerned in blocking one of the busy main roads like this and causing perennial traffic jam at this stretch.

Government servants should be pro-tax-payers and not anti-tax-payers by opting to do such shoddy, irresponsible and temporary works on busy roads.
