Mysuru: In a new twist to the threat case in which Chagan, a shop owner, was accused of threatening a witness in connection with the dispute pertaining to the property belonging to Tripura Bhyravi Mutt Anjaneyaswamy Temple, the accused Chagan’s father Modaram has lodged a counter complaint with the Devaraja Police accusing former Corporator Prashanth Gowda of threatening him.
In his complaint, Modaram alleged that the then Corporator Prashanth Gowda (now former) had come to his place on Feb.8, 2017 and created a ruckus besides threatening him and his family members, even as the dispute over the property belonging to the Temple is in the Court.
Accusing Prashanth Gowda, N.H. Prashanth, Anuj Shashwath, Prabhu Shindhe and Sanjay Gowda and his followers of threatening him, Modaram, in his complaint, sought Police protection to his family members.
After receiving the complaint, the Devaraja Police have issued an NCR to the complainant.
It may be mentioned here that N.H. Prashanth had lodged a complaint with the Devaraja Police on Sept.22 accusing Chagan, son of Modaram of threatening him. Also, ex-Corporator Prashanth Gowda had staged a demonstration in front of the Police Station recently seeking action against Chagan.
