Sir,
Hinkal, a small village on the outskirts of Mysuru long time back, has now developed into a small township with lot of commercial activities and a large number of residential buildings. The population of Hinkal, which was a few thousands a couple of decades back, has now a population of about two lakh, plus additional floating population.
To cater to this population, the Postal Department has just one post-box tied to the pillars of a temple on Hunsur Main Road. Anybody can take away this box and also when it rains water seeps into the letter box.
One post-box is just not enough to cater to this area. I request the Postal authorities to be more generous and help the public by having at least two or three more post-boxes in Hinkal.
