Mysuru: Stating that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s audacity, arrogance and attitude have led to his current predicament, MLC A.H. Vishwanath has called on him to step down honourably following the High Court’s rejection of his petition challenging the Governor’s sanction for his prosecution in the MUDA scam.
Speaking to Star of Mysore, Vishwanath said the Court had delivered the right verdict. He predicted that Siddaramaiah would face further setbacks even if he took the matter to the Supreme Court.
Asserting that the High Court ruling has sounded an alarm for the Siddaramaiah Government, Vishwanath stressed that the CM should not be stubborn and should voluntarily quit for his own good.
Recalling that Siddaramaiah had ignored his earlier advice to return the 14 sites allotted to him by MUDA and face the investigation, the MLC lamented that the goodwill the CM had built over his five-decade political career has evaporated quickly, and those surrounding him are to be blamed.
“However, it is disappointing that Siddaramaiah has lowered this dignity. The CM should resign,” he urged.
