Signals installed, motorists still suffer

Sir,

About two months back, Mysuru City Police (Traffic & Signal Section) installed the long-awaited traffic signal lights at the busy Gokulam Road-Hunsur Road junction.

However, it is unfortunate that these traffic signals are yet to be commissioned. As a result, motorists are left to fend for themselves at this crucial junction, guided only by the continuous blinking of the newly installed traffic signal lights, which serves no practical purpose.

It is difficult to comprehend what is holding back the concerned department from commissioning the already installed traffic signals and thereby alleviating the severe inconvenience and chaos faced by the motorists daily at this junction.

An early intervention by the authorities in commissioning this traffic signals will go a long way in ensuring smoother traffic flow and improved road safety at this busy and chaotic intersection.

Timely action now will truly serve the purpose for which these signals are installed.
