‘Simha Silk M.V. Narasimhaiah Memorial Award of Excellence’ conferred

GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW) had organised distribution of Gita Chaitanya Merit Scholarship Awards, sponsored by GSSS management to the BE Under-Graduate students and Simha Silk M.V. Narasimhaiah Memorial Award of Excellence for batch topper sponsored by Simha Silks, Mysuru, on May 13.

The silver plaque weighing 500 gms, along with a certificate, was distributed to B.C. Shamitha for having secured 9.51 CGPA in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering as part of prestigious ‘Simha Silk M.V. Narasimhaiah Memorial Award of Excellence’ for the year 2022-23.

‘Gita Chaitanya’ is a unique merit scholarship scheme for meritorious students sponsored by the management of GSSS. It supports the students of GSSSIETW, who have outshined in VTU examinations in the academic year 2022-23.

This year Rs. 9.7 lakh was distributed to 25 students of 1st year, 27 students of 2nd year, 22 students of 3rd year and 23 students of 4th year Under-Graduate of the institution. Totally 97 bright students of the GSSSIETW, Mysuru, received Rs. 10,000 each as Gita Chaitanya Merit Scholarship Award for their performance in the year 2022-2023.

L.C. Sheelavathi, Yadu Balasubramanya and Hima Kanya of Simha Silks, Mysuru, Vanaja B. Pandit, Hon. Secretary GSSS, O. Pratap Kumar, Joint Secretary, GSSS, B.K. Nataraj, Board Member, GSSS and Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, were present on the occasion.
