Under Swachh Survekshan – 2017 programme, the Tirupathi Municipal Corporation in Andhra Pradesh has provided ‘pay and use’ public toilets at several places in the city.
During my recent visit to Tirupathi, I have noticed one such facility just opposite to the Railway Station for the convenience of the general public. It is very compact and simple structure supported by solar power. It occupied less place. It has separate urinals and toilet sections for gents and ladies. A separate facility for physically challenged is also installed with a ramp. This design best suits when place is a constraint in crowded areas.
Hope, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) will also initiate such facility in the city at all prominent places for the convenience of general public as well as tourists.-
