Mysore/Mysuru: Understanding the need to support the teaching community which is facing stressful times during this pandemic because of unconventional teaching methods, a six-day national online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on wellness ‘MANAH PRABODHANAM: Empowering Teaching Professionals’ is jointly organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Department of Languages, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus from June 14 to 19.
Swami Sankaraamritananda Puri, Medical Director and Principal, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, will inaugurate the FDP on June 14 at 4 pm. Across six days, there will be various sessions such as: How to Hold your Butterfly Mind with tips from Vedic tradition, Developing a Manual for Wellness through yogic principles, Managing and Directing Mind with the help of ancient Indian literature, Boosting your Concentration and Self Control with Pranayama, practical session on Breathe Right to Stay Healthy, Strengthening the Academia through lessons from ancient scriptures and reinforcing the role of Teachers as Nation Builders, all of which will be conducted by distinguished scholars.
The FDP aims to empower the teaching community with time-proven methods of ancient Indian healing systems and traditions and embolden them from within for the long innings in these current times of stress.
This programme is developed exclusively for all teachers — from pre-primary to post doctorate academicians. It is completely free and ensures participation e-certificates for all registered participants.
