Mysore/Mysuru: Marking the 11th anniversary of ‘Ursu Patrike,’ the city’s Anveshana Seva Trust, in association with Ursu Jagruti Academy Charitable Trust, will confer ‘Dhwani Kotta Dhani’ award on six journalists of the city at a programme to take place at the Institution of Engineers on JLB Road at 10.30 am on Feb. 2.
The six journalists to be awarded are: Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President and Star of Mysore Chief Reporter S.T. Ravikumar, Executive Editor of Kannada Prabha, Mysuru, Amshi Prasannakumar, Chief Reporter of Vijayavani, Mysuru, Krishna, Prajavani Mysuru Bureau Chief K. Narasimhamurthy, Senior Chief Editor of Andolana T.V. Rajeshwar and Senior Photographer of The Hindu Sriram.
Former MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the programme. Horanadu Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple’s Dr. Bhimeshwara Joshi will confer the awards to scribes. MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah will pay tributes to the portrait of former Chief Minister late D. Devaraj Urs, while Anveshana Seva Trust Founder Arya Amarnathraje Urs will release the special edition of ‘Ursu Patrike’ and former Kanteerava Studios Chairperson Vijayalakshmi Urs will preside.
Ursu Jagruti Academy Chari-table Trust Vice-President H.A. Venkatesh, social worker K. Raghuram, Ursu Mandali President HMT Lingaraje Urs and Dr. M.G.R. Urs will be the chief guests.
