Mysuru/Mysore: A four-week Skill Development Programme on “Baking Technology” under the aegis of National School of Baking Technology will be conducted at CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, as part of Skill India Initiative from Jan. 20 to Feb. 14.
The course catering to the needs of fast growing baking industry will be as per the requirements of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)guidelines. Participants will be trained on choice of quality ingredients and product development.
Apart from this, the participants will also be given insight into packaging aspects, FSSAI guidelines, nutritional profiling, health and hygiene.
The course provides job opportunities in baking industry, SHGs, unorganised bakery personnel, quality control managers or lab technicians/assistants. The course will be beneficial to persons who want to start bakery units as an entrepreneur.
Those who have completed matriculation can seek admission to the programme. The course fee has been fixed at Rs. 20,000 plus GST (total Rs.23,600) per person. Participants need to arrange their own accommodation.
