The 13th Annual Day celebrations of Sneha Kiran of Mysore Spastic Society was held here on Mar. 11.
Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysore, who was the chief guest, was delighted to see the talents of the special kids and promised further support to the Centre.
Bishop Emeritus Rev.Dr. Thomas Anthony Vazhapilly, who is also the President of Sneha Kiran, distributed prizes to the children of various sports and talent competitions.
Dr.Somanth (Consultant Neurologist, Apollo Hospital) who presided, was impressed with the abilities of the special children and reminded parents to support and encourage children to explore their own skills.
The cultural programme was a grand display of the talents and abilities of the special children who performed for the latest Kannada and Hindi songs. A fashion show by the mothers and special kids displaying the diverse cultures and attires from all over India was an added attraction.
Sneha Kiran is a non-profit organisation that caters to the rehabilitation of children affected with Cerebral Palsy (CP), a neurological condition which causes permanent damage to the brain. A child with CP often suffers multiple disabilities and requires multi-disciplinary therapies and strategies for management and rehabilitation. Sneha Kiran provides all these facilities at the Centre.
