Mysore/Mysuru: Social distancing has gone for a full toss in city, as people crowd various stores and vegetable markets, breaking all rules established to protect their own lives against COVID-19 outbreak.

Despite the health officials pleading with public to maintain social distancing during purchase of groceries and vegetables at various stores and markets, social distancing has gone for a toss in city with the public displaying their carelessness by not maintaining social distancing at stores and markets.

Star of Mysore is receiving numerous calls from concerned readers regarding crowding at grocery stores and markets which may result in the spread of the virus.

A few readers said that even elected representatives were not maintaining social distancing as they are always accompanied by their followers and a host of officials during inspection of various places. Even while supervising disinfectant works in city, there is crowding despite there being Section 144 in force. Does it not apply to them? readers ask.
